We would like to take this opportunity to answer some of the questions we are often asked.  If you have a question that we do not answer below, please send us an e-mail or give us a call and we will be more than happy to answer it for you.

How many years have you been a photographer?
Jim has been a professional photographer for more than 50 years, and Linnea has been his protégé since they were married.  Visit our page
about the artists for full biographies.  This combination of practical experience and experience working together results in beautiful, professional portraits that will last a lifetime.

What kind of equipment do you use?
We use state-of-the-art digital photography equipment and sophisticated computer programs to produce the highest quality portraits possible.  We consistently replace outdated equipment with new technology to ensure that our customers receive the best portraits we can give them.

How do you plan your photography?
Many photographers do not plan well, which creates a lot of confusion and puts undue pressure on the customer to make split-second decisions.  We prefer to work with our clients to give them the portraits they want.  For example, we provide our wedding clients with a questionnaire prior to the wedding.  This gives the couple a chance to prioritize their wishes as well as have input with their own ideas.  With the questionnaire in hand, we can spend our time at the wedding taking photographs instead of asking questions, and our clients can spend their time enjoying their wedding day.

Can you take pictures in the church without using the flash?
Most churches do not allow flash photography during wedding, christening or baptism ceremonies.  Instead of trying to recreate the ceremony for the portraits--a common practice that often results in awkward looking photos--we shoot the ceremony without the flash.  Experience and technology permit us to take photos by maximizing available light to produce beautiful, natural portraits.
